Dr. Isaiah Hankel is the bestselling author of Black Hole Focus: How Intelligent People Can Create a Powerful Purpose for Their Lives and has demonstrated that creating a strong purpose is best done with a stepwise, scientific approach. Purpose involves not only the reason WHY you do what you do, but WHO you are, WHAT you do, and HOW you do it. Titans all have ONE thing in common…
So what is the ONE thing each of these ordinary people who are getting exceptional results have in common?
- Titans have “grit”—the trait of exceptional persistence and devotion in the face of obstacles—consistently outperform those with higher IQs
- Titans know “focus plus time equals genius” so that while average people are trying to do 100 things, these performers are monomaniacally focused on doing just a few things really, really well.
- Titans have an uncommon respect for time (time truly is priceless and the hours average people waste on gossip, tv and video games, Titans use to create remarkable results).
- Titans are engaged in deep daily practice which led to their exceptionalism
- Titans take “hedged risks” (versus betting the farm) that ordinary people don’t take because it makes them feel too uncomfortable and scared.
- Titans invest in their education (especially on their personal development).
…And absolutely yes these people had the guts to believe in their own vision of their future even when they were the only people on the planet who believed in that vision.
Are you ready to associate with true icons of business, exceptional performers, hugely productive superstars and some of the most motivated people on Earth?
Are you set to join one of world’s best mastermind groups who will share their hard-won lessons with you, encourage explosive growth in the important areas of your life and support you as you achieve the success that you know you’re meant to achieve?
To create world-class results you absolutely must spend time with people whose lives you want to be living.
Why?
Because science has proven that mindsets and emotions are contagious. If you hang out with energy vampires, b-players or c-players, people resigning themselves to mediocrity, you start thinking, feeling, behaving, operating and producing just like them.
But when you make the choice to associate with elite performers, those who are leading world-class lives, those who have risen to the top 0.01% financially, people who are super-healthy and seriously great human beings. Their ways of thinking, doing and performing start to unconsciously become your ways.
And the Law of Association also ensures that:
- Your income generally is the median income of the 10 people you spend most of your time with.
- Your levels of motivation will look a lot like the motivation of the people in your circle.
- Your ability to execute on your goals and deliver results on your dreams will be a lot like the people in your community.
- Your lifestyle generally reflects the lifestyles of the people who populate your life.
- And your overall beliefs and happiness levels are definitely a mirror of the beliefs and happiness levels of the people you spend most of your time with.
So my strong and affectionate and respectful encouragement for you is to take a good hard look at who you associate with, who’s in your community.
Do you go to the right conferences? Are you spending time with people who are playing in the rare air of world-class?
Few things are as important as getting this piece of the “uber-success code” right.
If you’re the smartest person you know, maybe it’s time to start knowing new people. If you are the fastest person on your street, maybe it’s time to move to a new street. And if you are the most successful person you know, I invite you to start spending time with much more successful people.
